I find you can reduce rubbing quite a bit by unbolting the rear of the cage, inserting a washer to spread the apart by 1-2mm, then bolt it back together. This lets the chain sweep across the rear-cluster more before it rubs on the cage. Doesn't hurt shifting performance very much because the front is still narrow.
Just hit the basement. I like that - even my triple rubs. At first I thought it was riveted but the screw is hidden on the inside.
