A Dream in the Past... and Another to Anticipate
STP is my favorite sponsored ride. I've ridden the one-day ride 9 years now but will miss it this year. I remember one year being particularly hot... over 100 degrees. That year I setup a tri-bike bottle cage on the back of my seat and carried 4 bottles downing NUUN one bottle an hour. I've never ridden the 2-day event... I prefer riding 100 to centralia for lunch... 50 to a rest stop in Vader... and then the fantastic stop in St Helens for the cream cheese rolls, soaking in the mister... and then bringing it home down Highway 30.... Ugh... now I want to ride this year.
Have fun... enjoy the views... talk to people and make new friends... and change hand positions often... It's a fantastic event!
