I usually lay it upside down on it's own; no bike stand even necessary, just make sure you're on a surface that won't scratch/damage your seat or handlebars!
I use this stand because of course we don't have a kick stand. I turned the bike upside down on it and said, "Ill be damned". The handlebars are able to move freely too
