First new thread on this board, so be gentle
So since the company decided to stick me in Denver for the weekend I figured I might as well have a good time doing it. I rented a nice bike, picked up some gear I needed anyway, and hit the trail.
Coming from MD these trails are amazing. Brutal climbs, rolling fast sections, only a little bit technical, but plenty of rocks to keep you on your toes.
The best part though for sure was the views. I kept having to get off the bike because I would whip around a corner and be presented with great views of the Rocky Mountain Front Range.
So without further delay... the photos...

This was the beginning of the trail, pretty good sign it was going to rock.
These are the ruins of a land developer's dream home that was struck by lightning and burned to the ground
Cheesin' it at a great lookout
That's what Willis was talkin' about.
More scrumptious technical singletrack
Really great view of the Denver Plateau
Mmmmmm twisty
My fat ass taking a huff & puff break after a tough climb
The unfinished foundation of the 'Summer White House' which was planned to house the President. Lack of interest and WWI killed the project.
Would've been one hell of a view
Hardest climb ever. 3 miles, 2000 feet...
The top. Finally.
