Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

If it is comfort I am seeking I go with Fizik (or similar bar gel) underneath some Lizard Skins 3.2 DSP tape of course on a bar with a flat top section like my favorite the ZIPP Service Course SL-70 Ergo or if I really really need more I would double tape but I haven't needed more than that.

The only time I might put grips on a drop bar is for track racing and even then I probably wouldn't but then again I don't race track and I am certainly not anywhere near good enough to race Japanese Keirin in which they do use grips vs. tape.
