Thanks everyone for the warm welcome I mostly ride MUP and street riding too. I love just to get out. I do both short rides and long rides too. I also like riding my bike to run errands. I struggle with the Airel, stopping at all the intersections though! It has a higher bar which in hindsight I think it was a mistake. I really prefer the step down bikes like my Expedition LE.
I never really rode my bike as a kid. I guess my mom was a little freaked out since we lived in a neighborhood with very steep hills. I had a huffy when I was 10 years old but don't recall riding much. During my late 20s a boyfriend convinced me to buy a Trek mountain bike. I would very occasionally ride it until I fell (I think I was 30?) I was always scared to death riding it.
I started riding again at age 47.( I'm 50 now) The bikes now sure have come a long way. I love biking now....what took me so long? Anyway I'm learning a lot from this forum thank you!
