Best ways to remove rust from my Miyata 610?

Iím happy to say my Miyata 610 arrivedvia FedEx today from Portland, OR. Iím in Toronto and although itís very hot & humid here now (27íC ++), it wonít be long before the much cooler weather arrives so I need to give a thorough cleaning and repacking. It turns out IíM the one who is rusty. I havenít done any bike maintenance in about 35 years!

will folks please recommend the best ways to remove rust from the frame and chrome pieces as well as the bikeís nuts and bolts. I thought I might use CLR but a quick internet search advises that I use tin foil and lime juice! Say what? Really?

Sadly, it looks like my cousin left my bike out in the rain for a couple of years or maybe it was just the humidity in Portland but thereís a ton more rust on her than I expected.

Iíd greatly appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,
Tranquility

pS Iím nicknaming her Miya!
