Hey, thanks for the info. This post is a bit of a blast from the past - I'd completely forgotten about it (understandably, given the underwhelming number of responses it got).

I actually went ahead and purchased a set of Take-Offs (the base kit, not the full) and I'm going to use them on my bike this spring - I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up so I can paint the frame, and then I'll be ready to go. I'm looking forward to seeing how they work - they seem to be well-made, and I don't anticipate any problems at all from them.
