Saying “cut-out” doesn’t mean a damn thing. The size, the shape, the location on the saddle and the saddle the cut-out is in are all factors in suitability, and as has been said, we’re all different down there in addition to being different weights, in differently padded shorts, in different riding positions.

I ride both the heavily cut-out Selle SMP Dynamic and conventional Fizik Aliante R3s just about equally comfortably, though for the longest rides, the SMP has the advantage.
