My wife had her hip replaced a few years ago and I know nothing changed on her set up because her primary bike mechanic would have known (me). She still has flexibility issues on that side, somewhat, and rotating her foot to unclip isn't as easy as it should be but for the most part, no issues. I don't recall how long she waited to go riding, but I do know she did a sprint triathlon the year after and ran and rode on that thing with no issues.

Once your doc says you're good to go, you're probably good to go.
@Beachgrad05 had hers done ... last year? She rides more than my wife ever did so I expect she'll have more relevant info for you.
