I have two. First was a 1986 Prelude I bought off CL at the recommendation of a friend who owns a shop. I mentioned that I really missed my 1989 Fuji Sagres SP sport touring bike, and was looking to get back in to road biking again. He thought the used Tenax Schwinns were a bargain.

I liked the ride so much that I have now invested in a “resto-mod” build of a 1987 Super Sport frame (slightly more aggressive head angle, 700c wheels, chromoly fork). It seemed to be going well, but I’m realizing the rear dropout “cold set” may have gone awry at the seat stay brake bridge (dropouts are centered left to right and aligned with each other, but brake bridge is like 5mm off center). If I can get this sorted out, I hope to have the new build up and running before winter.
