Heres a gold Competition I saw on a recent ride.
That’s a nice Raleigh Competition, still not a fan of the gold though. No real issues with my frame, actually it’s an nos frame that has never been built up. The frame came from Ware’s Cycles, large shop on Milwaukee’s NW side, closed in the 80s I think. It was ordered as a warranty repair, and never used. A former employee had it in his basement all these years, until he sold it to me. Supercoures were painted gold in 77 thru 79. Looking forward to getting it built up, but half the fun is the journey.
Thanks, Tim
