The Amazon listing is short on details. Did you research the bike independently? Found a review yesterday when the link was posted elsewhere. Lowdown on components are that some are good, some are not, and overall the bike is quite heavy, according to the review.
I think for $550, give or take some, getting a butted CrMo frame and a Deore/Sora drivetrain, as well as fenders and racks included, the drawbacks are majorly outweighed by the positives. I'd buy that over Bikes Direct Tourist. Whether it is worth $1500ish for the other sizes, I would probably argue against.
