When I take a pic with my mobile I share it to Google photos. When I get to my desktop, I sign into Google, open the Photos page (look at the 9 squares beside your icon) in my browser and sort my pics into albums. Then I open a photo from within the album and copy link with a right click on a PC.
OK, that's how I used to do it when I used Google photos -- and Picasa before that. About a year ago or a bit more it stopped working. Actually it would appear to work as long as you were logged in to google, but the link would break when you logged off. The link was no longer a normal URL location ending with (for example) .jpg, but some sort of code that ends in .no. I don't know what that suffix does or means, other than no fun.
Anyway, maybe it has been re-enabled. I haven't tried in ages, and basically stopped using google photos. Perhaps many others did the same. Let's try ....
