If y'all are wondering how I got the square-taper crankset to fit the bottom bracket, I replaced the original cotter-pin spindle with a Gipiemme square-taper spindle. I kept the original cups and added new ball bearings and grease. The Nervar crankset fit like a glove. And I will be adding Gipiemme pedals with cages and leather straps from a different project. Reuse and recycle.
