"Hygia" is certainly derived from hygiene and "gezondheidszadel" means health saddle, so there was also an association with 'dirty' or unhealthy for women with Dutch saddlemakers. They are a kind of 'skirt saddle' or 'dress saddle, with no or a shorter point. I remember as a kid asking my mother why this saddle had this groove in the middle and she explained it was more comfortable for women because they weren't build like men, she didn't mention clitoral stimulation. .
