Making your own brake mount holes?

So I had bought a used bmx bike and it doesn't have break mounts on it and wanted to try and see if i could put breaks on it because using the bike going downhill for about 2 miles to get anywhere isn't safe at all. I need help here and if anyone would be willing to help I would really appreciate it. Here are the specs of the frame itself to give perspective:
  • Head Tube: 75.5
  • Seat Tube: 70
  • Rear End: 12.8" - 13.1" ( centred )
  • Stand over Height: 9"
  • Weight: 5 lbs 4.4 oz
The name of the frame is called the Stranger Ballast frame. It is a 20' wheel setup. Any tips?
