I just had the opportunity to use my new Crank Bros Speedier Lever and I'm pleased with the results. Of course I had to use a spritz of soapy water along with it. I don't tend to carry soapy water as part of my on board tool array. The re-seating of the second bead is like butter. Only minor thumb action required.
I just love riding a vintage road bike. The smooth speed and quick response of the steel has to be one of the most enjoyable experiences I know.

My bikes: 58cm '72 Schwinn World Voyageur, with dynamo lighting, 24" '79 Trek 930, 24" '80 Trek 414, '84 Schwinn Letour Luxe, with couplers, 61cm '60 cm '88 Centurion Ironman Expert. '92 Schwinn Paramount (Panasonic),
I will buy no more bikes forever.
