First road ride of the new year!

We have had an unseasonably warm last couple of days here in Northern Illinois. Today was in the upper 40s, and I got out for 33 miles on the 716.

Tried out how this bike deals with a front load, it did pretty well even considering it's stock 56ish mm of trail. Steering was a little heavy, but certainly not unmanageable.

I did get a little beat up on our very rough roads, even with 700c x 32mm tires. I've been riding my 650b x 38mm Velo Orange over most of the winter, and I really nismisthe extra cushion.
