And they need to be a bit more robust: right insert broke after 3,000 feet of climbing at start of third climb today.
If I was going to make inserts like that I think I would try kydex instead of plexiglass. It comes in various thicknesses and you can buy it fairly cheap on ebay. It can be cut with a pair of scissors and can also be heat molded.
