I see bikes cross posted on craigslist and ebay with local pick up or drop off at a bike shop for ship and pack. You get a local and global advertising. Having a bike shop do packing and shipping hopefully protects you from some of the risk and selects the more motivated buyer. Of course you lose the late night halfin the bag impulse purchasers, and you don't get to pay yourself to get creative with tape cardboard and pool noodles......
