Living in Louisiana (home of Cajun, Creole, and lots of country cooking) I do love to eat. Here, dining is not only a necessity of life but also a cultural expectation. To refuse a lovingly prepared meal is considered poor manners.

The time has come, though, to alter my habits. I'll still reward myself with an occasional feast, but I'll just be more choosy about when and where. Once I'm at target weight, the changes in habits should have become unconsciously "normal." I hope so.
