it is put away for the winter, so here is a shot from the day I got it, before I even wound up the RD to take up the chain. Spence Alpine RD mod, 1st gen Phil hub on the back, triplized TA adapter, modified Mafacs with Weinmann levers etc. etc. Repainted in Porsche paint in about 1972 (he did not like the original yellow) and then basically put away. Still had rotted Seta tires on it. It was taking up room in his garage and wanted it out of the way.
So cool, love it, great color although original would be better to many.

Spence was a fan of Merz and sold many frames from him. They were the the standard bearers of touring at the time, legendary to be sure.
