Assuming your bars are currently a good reach, I would take a tape measure and measure from your saddle to the tops of your handlebars. Record that. Now raise your current stem up 1” (25.4mm ) and remeasure. (Don’t worry if it’s above the min insertion point, you’re not going to ride it.) Is it the same? Would moving the bars 10mm forward give you the same measurement?
