A cheap denim apron works fine for me. I have a bit of an apron fetish and have lots of aprons and wear them often. I look like I'm not wearing pants when my apron comes down below my shorts. I once showed up like that at a guy's house. The guy was selling a Hoosier cabinet, and he asked what's with the apron. I didn't have an answer, except, I wear aprons.
