Sports Tourer project
I'm slowly movimg into the ranks of people who get to ride bikes they've redone. This summer I finished refurbishing my high school grad purchase Schwinn Super Sport (bought in 74). In the process I found & bought a Schwinn Sports Tourer.
I took it apart & cleaned it up before taking it to the closest bike shop (150 miles). I wanted them to repack the BB & the headset - remember I'm new to this - the BB was something I had no idea how to approach, & something about tearing the headset apart was also frightening. Because I'm also lazy, I took my rims in & had them repack those hubs too.
Now it's home & i can start doing what I'm comfortable with - putting the pieces together. I just ordered my tires & tubes. Guess it's time to remember how all those parts go back on! Wish me luck.
