Peter- You very may well want only a Rubis post for this project for restoration reasons, but I did just see yesterday that the famed Japanese framebuilding shop Cherubim has been making some beautiful and very interesting looking quill seatposts. I'm sure they would do a 26.4 on commission if you asked.
