All in all that gives me a nice and wide 618% range (20.9-129 gear inches) with plenty of steps in between.
I opted for 9-speed instead of a 10/11-speed setup because the TA chainrings are likely to have too much room between the rings for the narrower 10+ speed chains. And even top of the line 9-speed parts are fairly affordable right now.

The only thing I still need to do is replace the front wheel with a similar dynohub wheel and measure the weight. It should offer a decent weight saving over the Weinmann concave rims that were on there.
