I remember riding the Paramount in High School. Red, foam on the handlebars instead of tape and bar end shifters.

I know in late 80's my brother was riding the Paramount a lot all over far Northern California.

He had to send it back to the factory to be repaired and painted since he cracked/broke a weld on the bottom bracket. He also had water bottle mounts put on at the time. Bought fancy set of tubulars and everything.
