If you can fit standard 29er wheels, I recommend Mavic Crossmax Elites which run around $600. Bulletproof reliability, all parts are replaceable and the wheels can be cheaply serviced by any shop.
Yes 29er , Thanks for the reply. The Crossmax Elite look like good value for the money as they are on sale right now at my lbs but I would like a higher spoke count due to loading on the bike and longevity of the rim. 205 lb rider plus gear equals broken spokes eventually. I have 142mm-12 mm and 100mm-15mm both front and rear are thru axles.
