After a 9 mile warmup and then a stop for supplies this is the final 46 miles of the second day of my June tour:

Fifteen of the sixteen miles of that climb are dirt. 3,200'+ of altitude gain. The descent, which starts at the ID border, is paved. Since the nearest "town" is another 9 mile beyond my campground I am going to have to bring snacks, lunch, dinner and next day's breakfast supplies, along with extra water to get me to the campground. I have been told the ID side is quite scenic and pretty much deserted at the time of year I will be there.
