118 miles and 9856 feet of climbing on Sunday. Most of it was part of a local sportive, the Black Rat, but I cycled to the start. It started near Bristol, in England and cycled over the bridge into Wales where we were met with quite a few hills. It's always fun to say you cycled to another country for the day. The route took us over the Gospel Pass, which is the highest road in Wales. It was a really lovely day out on the bike, and a very challenging ride, but worth it. It was my final big ride before Chase the Sun in June, which is 205 miles across England. But with less climbing over the total distance. It was a really lovely route, and support throughout was absolutely fantastic. Feed stations well stocked, mobile mechanics on route, as well as several cars doing sweeps along the route throughout the day. Great atmosphere as well at the end with a cider and pasty/sausage roll waiting for you at the end.
