While I agree that the Allez Comp is the better value, not everybody likes compact frames and the associated changes, such as threadless stems, huge handlebars, carbon forks, TIG construction, etc. The Fuji still has the classic style, while offering the amenities of indexing, Hyperglide and dual pivot brakes. For many cyclists, bicycles like the Club Fuji are the sweet spot.
Thanks for the information T-Mar. It's a very attractive bike with all RX100 bits. Even the hubs are marked RX100. It's the only non-Suntour equipped vintage Fuji I've ever owned. Since it's a 92, I'm also guessing this Fuji wasn't made in Japan. Must have been manufactured in Taiwan.
