My nom de net started years ago when I signed into a mountain bike forum. Terex was the earthmoving equipment division of General Motors and their headquarters was originally located in a town where we lived in Ohio. Terex was derived from the words "terra" and "rex", meaning Earth King. Worked for mountain biking and then road cycling. A few years ago Adidas thought it was a pretty good name too and came out with the Terrex line of trail runners. When I was riding a lot, my buddies and I all had nicknames - Marcello (Italian guy, great climber), TiBoy (was riding a titanium frame), Diesel (former college linebacker) and I was Terex, or sometimes T-Rex.
