I rode part of a charity ride on Saturday since my office is the state chapter's main sponsor for the ride, then made my way over to a campground where I met up with the youth group I help mentor. They had ridden out from the city a different way for a weekend campout to practice for RAGBRAI.

Part of my route meant about 6mi of gravel, which I didnt think twice about...until it poured for an hour and a half that morning which left the gravel soft and gritty. So one of my road bikes got to play on wet smooshy gravel for a half hour! Once I hit pavement and knew I was close to water, I used half a water bottle on flushing out the drivetrain while riding.
