Details on Trek 900 vs 800 & Mountain vs Single Track vs Antelope
I’m looking to pick up a late 80’s/early 90’s mountain bike. I’ve seen a lot of Trek options but I’m not clear on what is the difference between a Mountain Track, a Single Track, or an Antelope. Is this kinda like a Stumpjumper vs Rockhopper (racier vs relaxed geometry)?
I believe the difference between a 900 and 800 series is the quality of the tubeset. Anyone care to chime in with some details on this and any advice on choosing a bike?
I’d like to throw some Dirt Drop style bars on it and probably a front rack/basket, as is all the rage right now. Thanks!
