I was just too young in 1969 to remember much, other than second hand stories.

I doubt I would remember the first moon landing. But, do vaguely remember some of the later ones.

Again, not really realizing that the program would be abruptly stopped in 1972.

And, of course, I have a couple of memories of the 1972 Nixon election, my parent's disappointment in the outcome, and hearing Watergate on the radio in the mornings.
