Goodness there is a lot of bitterness showing thru in this thread. Its a forum- it isnt 'ours' and 'they' should be quite welcome to use it how 'they' see fit.
C&V runs a wide spectrum. Some only want bikes that are original spec, performance be damned. Some like the history. Some enjoy mixing modern with classic.
In a similar fashion, some users want to show off their bikes. Some users want to talk about 'the good old days'. And some want info on their bikes.
Seems like all uses can exist here, but boy its clear some are quite bitter about it.
