cold start but forecast for warming & bright sunshine, so by time I got started all I needed was 2 base layers, yellow short sleeve under orange long sleeve. thin smartwool beanie. sock liners & thin smartwool socks. orange work gloves. bright yellow helmet w/ tinted shield

13.7 miles
23.3 max thanks to the gravel powerline rd
6.2 avrg
2hrs 14min saddle time
4hrs 15min away from car (11:45am-3:33pm)
sunny 56 degrees

did some exploring trying to spend as much time as possible on the "Pine Barrens Trail". wound up out of the MSSF on the East Side & turned around whn I located myself at the lower edge of Gallows Pond. Yay for the iPhone "Find My Friends" native app. cuz it can also find me!

pretty fall riding

at Gallows Pond. the trail up to the left was too steep, narrow & rooted to be a viable MTB trail, so I stopped here as my 1/2 way point & snacked

the iPhone "Find My Friends" app for the win!

indulged myself w/ too much splashing in mud puddles. wound up causing dirty drive train, chain-suck. had to stop a cpl times to rinse the chain, chain rings & cassette DOH! shud probably have a shop check them for wear
