Why the preference for a Jersey over just a base layer? Is it thicker material, does it have pockets? I'm just trying to understand the fascination. I got a Merino Wool base layer from REI on sale for Christmas for $40. No back pockets, but I don't use them. The zipper's the same, but most importantly there's no advertising on me. Nice Rust color too.
