Yes, hand made leather Blood Chit. But I suspect, since he wasn't a flyer, that he probably picked that up in India before they flew over the Hump.
When I first showed that to my wife, who is Chinese, some 27 years ago, and she translated what it said on it, we both wept a little bit.
