I see you call it an accident, my bad. But if 2 moving objects make contact, I'd call that a crash but I am not an authority on accident/ crash variances.
But yes, be careful, the movements of others don't seem sudden but they are, very much. Got to watch others around you. Only takes a blink of an eye to result in an accident as you now know.
I always, even if it is not necessary, I always shout something friendly to alert other cyclists I am passing and present.
