Had a fork built for me a year or so ago by a local builder. The frames he makes are OK, not fantastical, but OK. The welding is acceptable, pricing reasonable. The fork he built for me is sitting on a shelf as I do not trust the crown to the steerer attachment. Additionally, there is a deep undercut in one of the blades at the crown from when he was cleaning it up. Gonna say it cause I lived it, you get what you pay for.

Get someone with a proven track record to build the thing. Don't cheap out.
