We agree, and yes, it is splitting hairs.

IMHO & IME - proper clothing negates windchill factor.

OTOH - riding into the wind will always slow you down, and with the clothes to keep you warm, you will slow you down more as it gets colder. So windchill factor is more of a drag-factor ???
