For the el cheapo Top Ramen level, my recommendation is to throw out the soup 'flavor' salt packets, and make 'Dragon Noodles' instead. After boiling and draining the noodle block, stir fry with butter, and a sauce made from mixing soy sauce, sriracha and brown sugar (all 1 tbsp per noodle block). Fry in an egg, and goodies like green onions, frozen mixed veg, diced spam, awesome! So many variations:
