I think opting for the smaller would be in your best interests. Oddly enough, the standover for the Bareknuckle's are on the high side. I ride a 53 optimally but can ride a 54 or a 52 but there is no way I can standover a 54. It feels like a 55/56 to me. Incidentally, two people I know who are the same height ride a 50cm! Which feels like a 52.
