I am pretty sure Home Despot is not an actual bike shop, last I remember being in there I think we were getting grid to cut down for ceiling tiles and some keys cut. Not really the sign of a bike shop. I wouldn't waste money on that stuff.
My favorite pump was the Air Tower Shop from Blackburn but it got replaced under warranty with the Piston 4 which works but feels a little cheaper on the handle but works just fine. If I do end up with another floor pump I am probably going with the Joe Blow Ace from Topeak as it will be good for mountain bikes as well as road bikes.
