Hello from Toronto, Canada

Hello,

I have been biking for about 40 years now. I have commuted to work (5km one way) for about 5 years and in recent years I have been riding for exercise for weight loss and to stay healthy. I do love to ride paved trails and some light off-roading. The reason I joined is that I need help finding a replacement bike for a recently stolen one. I bought it in 2011 at Bert's in the US where they were very helpful in identifying a suitable bike for me and I ended up going with the Cannondale Quick 4. However, all though I'm familiar with it, I have not kept up with technology and I have no idea of various levels of equipment. I know prices go up with smaller/lighter components but that's about it.

I will post in the hybrid section and hopefully I can get help identifying a good replacement bike. It's not as easy as it may seem mostly because the same bike I bought 9 years ago costs more than double what I paid for it thanks to inflation.

Cheers
