I am nearly 100% certain Trek will cover this with no questions asked. Take it to your local bike shop -- they'll look at it, say it's obviously not right, and theyll warranty it through Trek. Trek will likely send them a brand new wheel assembly. I had a loud freehub body on my Giant Roam and the bike shop said Giant would probably just send them an entirely new wheel (which they did), complete with disc brake rotor).
