Yeah, believe me, while in this part of Germany
its (it was at least in the past few year) quite common to see still working things including bikes on the street with a tag 'Zu verschenken' (~take it if you need it), such an example is by far not common at all. Especially if a dude tries to load it in the trunk, and just because you said "hey its nice" he gives it to you. I was puzzled for days. I like yours better for being lugged, but I have to say this is a nice one as well, and as said, it is almost like new.
